I’ve made a number of projects to explore the clothing worn by women in the Low Countries in the late 1500s and early 1600s. You’ll find a number of attempts to imitate both the buyers and sellers in the market genre paintings, as well as a number of white caps and veils. You can start at the bottom of the page to see how the ideas evolved. Click the “view more” button (forthcoming) for more information on some items and to see their historical inspirations.
